Lessons
All of our members, whether they compete or not, take riding lessons as part of the team. At the beginning of each semester, members will submit their class schedules to Amie so she can create a lesson schedule. New members will also be asked to describe their ability level and note whether or not they need a ride to and from the barn. That way, members are placed in lessons according to their individual needs.
Each lesson is one hour long. Riders must allow at least 20 to 30 minutes before their lesson to groom and tack up their horses, and at least 20 to 30 minutes afterward to untack, groom or hose their horses as needed, and put away their tack. Tack, equipment, and horses are provided at the barn. Amie will write your horse assignment, as well as the appropriate tack, on an index card beside the barn office. Riders may bring their own horses and tack, IF arrangements have been made and agreed upon with Amie beforehand.
